About Us

Biographs LLC is a privately owned company located in Stony Brook, New York. The company has received exclusive rights to manufacture and sell PainTrace™, a patented, totally non-invasive device that measures the skin's response to pain.

Mission Statement

Our current mission is to bring to the American equine industry specifically, and the veterinary community at large, a tool for first identifying and then quantifying levels of pain, thereby allowing the use of appropriate therapies to effectively reduce both the symptoms and causes of pain and suffering. We hope to help bridge the current communications gap between animals and their human providers in this regard and address the existing lack of fast, accurate methods for measurement of pain in animals. Subject to obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals from the FDA or other governing agencies, we also hope to expand our mission to include objectively measuring pain in humans as well.
